A 40-year-old man has been arrested for possessing the skin of a large deer inside a watchman’s room in farmland in Kottukachchiya.
A special operation by wildlife and Special Task Force officials resulted in the finding of deerskin and a large stock of fireworks, killer traps and ammunition. The suspect is to be produced before Puttalam Magistrate Courts. (Story and pix by Puttalam correspondent Hiran Priyankara)
