In pictures: Lotus tower illuminates in support of kids with cancer
The Lotus Tower was illuminated in gold to mark child cancer awareness month.
“September is the Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Gold is the colour associated with childhood cancer. Gold symbolises preciousness and the resilience of these children and their families,” Paediatric Oncologist at National Cancer Institute (Apeksha Hospital) Dr. Sanjeeva Gunasekare said.
