In pictures: Sacks of urea bring smiles to desperate paddy farmers
Relieved faces were seen among paddy farmers as they collected sacks containing much-needed urea for the upcoming Maha season.
Distribution of urea commenced yesterday through agrarian service centres island-wide. A ship carrying 22,000 metric tons of urea purchased under the World Bank loan scheme arrived at the Colombo port on Monday.
