Women rights groups took to the streets against a number of issues including the skyrocketing cost of living.
The protest that took place at Lipton roundabout Wednesday evening was led by the Women For Rights(WFR) group.
The protestors charged that women are burdened by the shortage of milk powder for their children, unable to prepare food without gas and suffer from increasing prices of all goods. They demanded the government to step down if they are unable to find solutions to the present crisis. (Pix by Eshan Fernando)
