India's External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar arrived in Sri Lanka last night for a bilateral visit and to attend the Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) summit.
"Arrived in Colombo for bilateral visit and BIMSTEC meeting. Look forward to my discussions over the next two days," he tweeted.
Three senior Indian External Affairs Ministry officials are accompanying Dr Jaishankar on his visit.
Tourism Minister Prasanna Ranatunga, Energy Minister Gamini Lokuge, Highways Minister Johnston Fernando and State Minister of Aviation and Export Zones Development D.V. Chanaka welcomed Dr Jaishankar at the Bandaranaike International Airport.
