India’s Minister of External Affairs Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar arrived in Sri Lanka today.
State Minister of Foreign Affairs Tharaka Balasuriya and Governor of the Eastern Province Senthil Thondaman received the visiting Minister.
He is scheduled to meet with President Ranil Wickremesinghe, Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena and Foreign Minister Ali Sabry.
In addition he will also meet with Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa and Tamil parties before leaving later in the day.
“Look forward to my meetings with the leadership. Sri Lanka is central to our Neighborhood First and SAGAR (Security and Growth for All in the Region) policies’ Dr Jaishankar said in an X (formerly twitter) post.
