The Government of Israel through the Israeli Agency for International Development Cooperation (MASHAV) donated a consignment including Ventilators, Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) and Pulse oximeters to Sri Lanka, Foreign Ministry said.
The donation from the Government of Israel was handed over at a ceremony held at the Foreign Ministry in Colombo. Israeli Ambassador Naor Gilon handed over the donation to Foreign Secretary Admiral Prof. Jayanath Colombage. Honorary Consul of Israel Wicky Wickramatunaga was also presented at the ceremony.
Sri Lanka and Israel enjoy close ties of friendship and cooperation. Since the outbreak of the COVID 19 pandemic, the Government of Israel has extended valuable COVID 19 related assistance to Sri Lanka.
