The Anurdhapura Magistrate Court has granted permission to further investigate allegations of obstructing the duties of the Police, levelled against Member of Parliament Dr Archuna Ramanathan and report facts to courts on February 3.
The MP could be arrested by the Police over the allegations.
The Police in Anuradhapura, had stopped the MPs vehicle equipped with unauthorized VIP lights and attempted to question the MP when he refused to cooperate with the Police.
The MP also made certain remarks which are being investigated the remarks of the MP.
The MP challenged the Police action saying he cannot be stopped as he was proceeding to attend the Parliamentary sessions.
