Japan’s Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Akio Isomata, congratulated the Sri Lankan people on the peaceful parliamentary elections held yesterday, praising their participation and extending best wishes to the newly elected members.
Ambassador Isomata emphasized the enduring friendship between Japan and Sri Lanka, expressing confidence that these elections, along with the presidential election in September, signal a new chapter in strengthening bilateral ties.
“Japan looks forward to collaborating with Sri Lanka’s government, parliament, and people to promote peace, prosperity, and deeper mutual trust,” according to Ambassador Isomata.
