Mr Jayantha Ketagoda was sworn in as a Member of Parliament this morning (21) before the Hon. Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena.
Mr Ketagoda filled the vacant seat under the National List created by the resignation of State Minister Ajith Nivard Cabraal.
Earlier Mr Ketagoda resigned enabling Mr Basil Rajapaksa to enter into Parliament.
Customs have detected 228 mobile phones and tabs valued at over Rs 30 million left behind in the duty free shopping complex at the Banaranaike International Airport today, Customs officials said.
