The Kandy District Secretariat was searched by the Police and security forces following a bomb threat.
However nothing suspicious was found from the premises after a six hour long search.The threat had been sent via email claiming the bomb placed in a vehicle had been sent.
The vehicles in the premises was searched following a search inside the building. Normal work at the Secretariat was disrupted.
An investigation is underway to track down the person who sent the mail.
