Despite being granted permission, former Minister Keheliya Rambukwella, who is being held in remand jail, has declined to attend today’s (February 7) parliamentary session, according to the Department of Prisons.
President Ranil Wickremesinghe will formally inaugurate the Fifth Session of the Ninth Parliament today morning.
Parliament was prorogued on January 26 through a proclamation published in the government gazette.
