A 26-year-old man from Baddegama has died after he was beaten to death using a pestle, Police said.
According to Police, the deceased had arrived to purchase a kottu at a local eatery in Baddegama town and entered into an argument with the owner. Following the argument, the deceased had stabbed the owner using a knife. The owner’s son has beaten his father’s attacker with a pestle, killing him on the spot.
The eatery owner has been admitted to Baddegama hospital while the 25-year-old son has been arrested in connection with the murder. Baddegama police is conducting further investigation.
