Kushani Rohanadeera appointed new Secretary-General of Parliament
President Ranil Wickremesinghe has appointed Mrs. Kushani A. Rohanadeera, the current Chief-of-Staff and Deputy Secretary-General of Parliament, to the position of Parliamentary Secretary-General with effect from May 23, 2023.
The appointment has been made with the approval of the Constitutional Council, as reported by the President’s Media Division (PMD).
She will succeed outgoing Secretary-General of Parliament Dhammika Dasanayake.

SLAF Bell 212 crashes into Maduru Oya
A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
