The communication gap between government and semi government institutions, district and divisional development committees is concerning, said President's Secretary Saman Ekanayake.
In a letter to all Ministry Secretaries, District and Divisional Secretaries, the President's Secretary emphasized the importance of communication between government officials and political authorities at both district and divisional levels.
He said heads of both district and divisional development committees have complained to President Wickremesinghe on the lack of communication, especially when it comes to development work in their respective areas.
Mr. Ekanayake said this has posed significant challenges, obstructing the successful execution of vital development projects. The letter urged the secretaries to get district and divisional development committees involved in future development plans.
