Lanka IOC suspends issue of fuel due to Saturday’s protest

Lanka IOC has suspended its supply operations of fuel with immediate effect until Sunday ,Managing director of Lanka IOC, Manoj Gupta said.

Mr Gupta had posted on his twitter handle that he has been “advised” to discontinue the supply, but he did not elaborate on who gave him the instructions.

He said the discontinuation of fuel supply is because of the planned protest.

The announcement came before a major protest due to take place on Saturday demanding the resignation of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
