The Sri Lankan delegation headed by Finance Minister Ali Sabry has met with top World Bank and International Finance Corporation (IFC) officials in Washington DC.
Minister Ali Sabry, Central Bank Governor Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe and Treasury Secretary Mahinda Siriwardena have met with Country Director (World Bank) Faris Hadad-Zervos and Managing Director of IFC Makhtar Diop yesterday.
“The two institutions have reiterated their commitment to work with the Government of Sri Lanka to find sustainable solutions to support and strengthen the economy of the country,” the Finance Ministry said.

The Supreme Court today refused interim relief in an application filed by President’s Counsel Senaka Walgampaya seeking an Order from the Supreme Court compelling the President to appoint judges to fill the existing vacancies in the Court Of Appeal.
The deadline for online applications to the 2024 G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) Examination has been extended until July 12, the Department of Examinations said.
