A British national had been arrested over attempting to smuggle in the largest haul of kush (drugs) from Thailand, customs said.
Additional Director General as well as media spokesman for the Customs Seevali Arukgoda told the Timesonline the arrest was made yesterday evening when a female British national who arrived to Sri Lanka via UL 405 flight of Sri Lankan airlines was stopped and searched.
He said that the kush (drugs) were found in the baggage of the british national.
The custom estimated that the 46 kilograms seized kush had a street value of Rs 460 milion.
