An event to commemorate the 30th death anniversary of late President Ranasinghe Premadasa was held at the Premadasa statue at Hulftsdorp this morning.
Family members of Premadasa family including Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa, wife of late Premadasa, party activists and well-wishers took part in the ceremony.
The former President was assasinated by a suicide attack carried out by Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam on May 1, 1993 near Armor street, Colombo when he was taking part in the UNP May Day rally. (Pix by Indika Handuwala)
