The Cabinet yesterday (5) approved the proposal for a pilot project to be carried out in the Gampaha District to provide light vehicle driving licenses for hearing impaired individuals based on the results of its outcome.
The entire island will be covered on a bi-annual renewal basis once the method is implemented.
The proposal was presented by Minister of Transport and Highways Bandula Gunawardene.
