A limited number of the uncirculated commemorative coin (Rs. 1000 denomination) issued to mark the 75th Independence Day Celebration of Sri Lanka will be available for sale at Rs.6,000 per coin from today (March 9) onwards, on first come, first served basis and limiting sales to one coin per person, at the Central Bank sales outlets.
The commemorative coin was officially presented to Ranil Wickremesinghe, President by Dr. P. Nandalal Weerasinghe, Governor of Central Bank at the President’s House in Kandy on February 2.
