All Island Lottery Agents and their sub agents have threatened to withdraw from selling tickets by July 6, if the ticket prices are increased to Rs 40.
Despite plans to increase the ticket prices and thereby increase the commission to Rs eight per ticket, the agents believe that the move will affect the sales.
The Agents have already informed the National Lotteries Board and the Development Lotteries Board about their decision.
