Malini Vijitha Wijeyaweera, who composed the popular Sinhala song ‘Ma Baala Kaale’ sung by late C.T.Fernando passed away at the age of 89.
Malini, also an award winning novelist, won the D.R.Wijewardene award for her novel ‘Pe Aiya’ in 1991.
Her final rites will take place tomorrow (02) evening in Mt. Lavinia.
The final rites of veteran broadcaster, writer, and lyricist Nirmala de Alwis will be held today at Peradeniya.
