A 44 year old resident of Unawatuna, Galle has been arrested for a multiple incidents of sexual abuse of children, Police said today.
The arrest followed complaints from a number of parents in Galle that their children had been abused.
Children from several parts of the country had fallen victim, Police said.
The suspect has been remanded until August 23.
A Sri Lankan man was apprehended at Suvarnabhumi airport for attempting to smuggle wildlife out of the country after three ball pythons were found hidden in his underwear, the Bangkok post reported.
