A man in possession of a locally produced 12-gauge gun was arrested with two gauge bullets, 70 T-56 live ammunition and 28 bullets yesterday during a raid carried out by the officials of Morawaka Police Station on a tip-off received.
The suspect was identified as a 31-year-old resident of Meegahawatta, Morawaka area.
The suspect has been remanded till 2023.03.13 after being forwarded to the Magistrate Court of Morawaka yesterday.
Further investigations are underway by the Morawaka Police.
