Update: The individual who was hacked to death in Wellampitiya last night has been identified as the brother of Dan Priyasad of the Nawa Sinhale National Organisation.
Police have launched an investigation to arrest suspect involved in the murder of the 34-year-old victim in Wellampitiya last night (25).
The victim was found with severe cut injuries beneath the Orugodawatta flyover bridge. He died upon admission to the Colombo National Hospital.
The victim is a resident of Kuruniyawatta, Wellampitiya. The motive for the killing has not been established and the suspects remain unidentified. Wellampitiya Police are investigating.
