A person has sustained injuries due to a shooting incident occurred in Meetiyagoda, Ambalangoda today morning (28), Police said.
They added that the two assailants who rode a motorbike had open fired at the man who was traveling on a motorcycle on Meetiyagoda, Ambalangoda road.
The Police said that a 47-year-old resident of Paniyana Ambalangoda who had sustained injuries is currently being treated at Balapitiya Base Hospital.
The Police are yet to establish the motive behind the shooting, the Meetiyagoda police is carrying out investigations to apprehend the two suspects
