A man involved in producing fake government documents has been arrested by the Police in the Kiribathgoda area, Police said today (26).
Among the documents produced are forged driving licenses and National Identity Cards.
The 66-year-old man was due to be produced before the Mahara Magistrate courts today.
Police are investigating the documents he had produced and about the usage of them.
Senior DIG Ajith Rohana said that use of fake documents also was a punishable offence and investigations are continuing.
Police have taken into custody the printers and other material used for the production of the fake documents.
