The Nuwara Eliya magistrate has ordered a man who allegedly fed a Sambar Deer in the Horton Plains National Park to appear before court June11, 2025.
The order to summon the suspect was passed after the wildlife officials attached to the National Park reported facts to court today against a resident of Piliyandala, who violated the rules and regulations of the National Park by feeding wild animals at the Horton Plains .
It is prohibited for visitors to feed animals in wildlife parks.
The detection was made after Wildlife officials had seen a video of the suspect posted on his own Facebook account.
