A man targeting school children to sell drugs has been arrested from the Wellampitiya area, the Special Task Force said today.
According to information received by the Intelligence Division officers of the STF, they conducted a raid at the Kotikawatta junction on December 21.
A 40 year old resident of Brandiawatta, Wellampitiya was subsequently arrested, while in possession of 9 g 430 mg of ice drugs, targeted for school children, and a three wheeler.
The suspect was handed over to the Wellampitiya Police for further investigation.
The raid was conducted by officers of the STF Intelligence Division including the Deputy Officer in Charge, R. A. M. P. B. Rajanayake, under direct supervision of the Assistant Superintendent of Police, Sagara Kulasekara.
