The Department of Meteorology predicts showers or thundershowers in the Northern and Eastern provinces throughout the day.

Fairly heavy rainfall exceeding 75 mm is likely in parts of the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, as well as in the Galle and Matara districts.
Additionally, Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva, and Southern provinces will experience misty mornings.
