A mother and a son who committed who offered foreign jobs and obtained money, but failed to keep to their promise, were arrested by the Police on Friday (December 9) in Chilaw.
The Chilaw Police investigating a complaint received in regard to the commitment of a money fraud of Rs. 5.9 million by offering foreign jobs arrested two suspects in the evening of Friday.
The two suspects, a mother aged 45 and a son aged 19 and residents of Chilaw, had conducted this fraud by offering jobs in Dubai, over a period of three to four months.
They were produced to the Chilaw Magistrate Court on Friday, where they were remanded until December 13.
