Former Minister Naveen Dissanayake today vowed to remain with the United National Party though he has declined a position in the party.
Mr Dissanayake addressing a news conference in Colombo with Mr Arjuna Ranatunga said that he had written to the party leader Mr Ranil Wickremesinghe that he had no objections in offering his post of National Organiser to another member, but he will not be taking over the responsibility.
He said that the party should be completely reorganized and without reforms it was no use of accepting any positions.
Mr Ranatunga said he too was not accepting the Senior Vice President position offered to him.
