Navy intercepted twelve Sri Lanka nationals today morning in Mannar sea when they tried to flee to India via fishing bot due to country's economic crisis.
Twelve persons from three families in Jaffna were intercepted this morning. Two skippers of the boat were also taken into custody.
The arrested individuals are to be handed over to Mannar police for further legal action. (Pix by -N. Lohathayalan)
