Navy seized 41 kilos and 540 grams of Cannabis at the Mampuri Beach, Norochcholai yesterday (22).
The haul of Cannabis was found after it had been abandoned by racketeers to evade the Navy’s operations in the region, Navy said.
A detachment of Navy's Special Boat Squadron deployed at Mampuri Beach has conducted the raid. The street value of the seized stock to be over Rs. 12 million.
The Norochcholai Police is conducting further investigations into the incident.
