About 50 persons have been left homeless after a fire destroyed seven out of nine line rooms in the Mapagala Section of the Yuriwatta Estate in Badulla last night (25).
The fire was doused by the Badulla Fire Bridgade with assistance from area residents.
About 50 persons resident in the nine line rooms have been displaced following the fire, which is believed to have been caused by an electrical fault. Badulla Police are investigating.
