Additional General Manager H.M.K.W. Bandara will be appointed as the General Manager of Railways (GMR) with effect from November 4.
The cabinet decision in favor of the new appointment was made on October 10.
Former GMR Kumara Gunasinghe is retiring after reaching the age of 60.
