A new duty free electronic shopping mall was declared open on the arrival section of the Bandaranaike International Airport today.
Thirty four shops will be operative in the section which has been opened in the second floor of the arrival area.
Minister of Ports and Shipping Nimal Siripala de Silva opened the shopping mall.
A Rs 225 million investment has been made for the project by the Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited, .A monthly turnover of US$ 55,000 is expected from the complex. Minister de Silva also opened the air cargo village building as well.
