A new system is implemented with effect from today (6) for the convenience of Passport applicants to register for applying passports under One day or Normal service, the Department of Immigration and Emigration said.
Accordingly, a prior registration shall be made through the link https://eservices.immigration.gov.lk/MakeAppointments/ with effect from today to apply for Sri Lankan Passports. Acceptance of applications of applicants who register since then will be commenced from Wednesday, 04.12.2024.
Therefore, it is possible to submit passport applications in the sequence of dates obtained as per the existing methodology up to Tuesday, 03.12.2024, the department said.
New applicants/ those who already possess a passport/ those whose passports have been lost are also requested to register through the new methodology as well. The methodology of prior-registration is valid for both One Day Service and Normal Service.
