No more power outages: Ministry of Power
As the Norochcholai power plant is now fully functional, there will be no power cuts from today onwards, the Ministry of Power announced today.
Earlier Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) announced an hour-long daily power outage in most parts of the country due to the repair operations at Norochcholai power plant until Wednesday.
On December 3, the country experienced an islandwide power outage due to the failure of a transmission line disrupting power supply to most parts of the country.
