Public has been requested to avoid standing in queues as both petrol and gas distribution will not take place today, a senior Energy Ministry official said.
He said there has been a delay in the unloading of LP gas yesterday due to rainy weather conditions and once unloading is complete distribution will take place by tomorrow.
“There is no use in standing in queues today as there will be no LP gas or petrol today,” he said.
Long queues for petrol were seen yesterday after CEYPETCO announced limited issuance of petrol until the shipment is unloaded.
He said a tanker with 95,000 MT of crude oil is nearing the country and once payment is made the stocks will be released to the Sapugaskanda oil refinery.
