One dead, 18 injured after bus falls into precipice at Narammala

A bus headed from Alawwa to Narammala swerved off the road and fell into a precipice in Dampelessa, Narammala this afternoon (19), Police said. 

 

Police reported that one passenger has died whilst 18 others sustained injuries. 

 

The deceased has been identified as a 51-year-old. 

 

Thus, seven persons were admitted to the Kurunegala Hospital and the rest are undergoing treatment at the Narammala Hospital.
