A young family man was attacked by a crocodile in the Manmunai area under the Kattankudy police division in Batticaloa.
Further information on the incident came to light.
Four fishermen were fishing together on the bank of the river under the bridge. Although it was evening, there was not enough light to fish. They decided to go down to the river and light a lamp. The fishermen who were fishing with him said that they were attacked by a crocodile at around 7:20 pm and dragged him away.
The deceased is 34-year-old Azhagudurai Azhagesan, a young family man and father of two from Pudukkudiyuruppu area. He died after being attacked by a crocodile.
After a long time, the fishermen, the public and the public recovered the body. The Kattankudy police are conducting further investigations in this regard.
