The session, commencing at 10:00 a.m., will feature President Anura Kumara Dissanayake presenting the Government’s policy statement at 11:00 a.m.
Police officers will guide MPs’ vehicles to designated parking areas, after which members are to proceed to the entrance hall and wait until the quorum bell rings.
Mrs. Rohanadeera emphasized that the opening ceremony will be conducted with simplicity, in line with issued guidelines.
Meanwhile, a three-day orientation for newly elected Members of Parliament will be held at the Parliament premises from November 25 to 27, 2024, in Committee Room No. 01 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
