Over 400 families affected by floods in Wattala
Due to abnormal weather conditions many families in Olanda gama, Rubberwatta and Bunt road
Of Hendala, Wattala were foced to be away from their houses due to floods.More than 400 families were struggling even to get a meal a day.
Lions Club of Colombo Central carried out an excellent intiative by President Lion Viraj Indika and for a superb timely support of Lion Gopinath going into flooded area under heave rain distributed Over 900 packs of lunch packets.
Zone chairperson Zone 1 Lion Ravi Sivakumar participated with club members for this worthy project.

SLAF Bell 212 crashes into Maduru Oya
A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
