Ninety thousand more Pifzer vaccines were brought into Sri Lanka today (26) as the government stepped up the campaign to vaccine persons in the Western province to meet its targets.
Meanwhile the number who have obtained the first vaccine surpassed the 7.4 million figure on Sunday while those who have obtained the second dose have passed the 1.8 million figure.
The number who have obtained the first dose of the Sinopharm vaccine by Sunday was 5.5 million and the second dose 1.4 million.
The number who have so far received the first dose of the Covishield vaccine has reached nearly one million while 385,000 persons have received the second dose.
Sputnic -V first dose has been received by 159,081 and second dose by 14,503.
The first dose of Pfizer has been received by 113,967 while the Moderna vaccine has been received by 670,583 persons.
Overall, more than 7.4 million have received the first dose and another 1.8 persons the second dose.
