The manager of a private financial institution in Nikaweratiya has been infected with the corona virus, which has led to the quarantine of 117 members of 37 families, including 37 staff members, Medical Officer of Health (MOH) Office said yesterday (28).
Accordingly, steps have been taken to temporarily close down the financial institution as well.
The majority of the financial institution's staff is from the Nikaweratiya area. It is a financial institution that deals with a large number of customers as well as residents.
Currently the number of Corona infections in Nikaweratiya area has increased to 43. Accordingly, there is a high risk of the disease spreading, the health department said.
In this dangerous backdrop, the health authorities inform the public to engage in daily activities in accordance with health care practices to prevent the disease spreading further.
