The number of PCR tests carried out to detect COVID-19 positive cases is to be increased to 20,000 per day, Health Ministry sources said.
Currently less than 15,000 tests were being carried out daily.
Some 300 tests will be carried out at Kegalle General Hospital from tomorrow (9).
