Two suspects have been taken into custody by the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) along with 1.5 kilograms of 'Ice' from Dam Street in Colombo.
The two suspects are a 29-year-old resident of Colombo 02 and a 37-year-old resident of Colombo 12. They are currently being detained by the PNB and are questioned on how they obtained the drugs.
Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana stated that there is currently a trend of Ice being used as a substitute to heroin.
The suspects are due to be produced before the Aluthkade Magistrate's Court.
