Parliament has made arrangements to set up an information desk for MPs of the Tenth Parliament today (19) and tomorrow (20),
The information desk will be operational from 9.30am to 3.30pm today and tomorrow. Issuing a statement, Secretary General of Parliament Kushani Rohanadheera said the desk will be opened to facilitate arrangements for the First Meeting of the First Session of the Tenth Parliament. All Members are kindly requested to attend as arrangements have been made to provide useful information and documents, take photographs for Parliament Member ID cards, and obtain fingerprints for electronic voting purposes.
Parliament has also implemented an online registration process for Parliamentarians to enter their information through the Parliament website. Accordingly, the Secretary-General requests all Members to complete the necessary information by accessing the information link available on the homepage of the Parliament website (www.parliament.lk). As an alternative, arrangements are also made available to download the form through the provided link, to fill, and submit.
The first session of the Tenth Parliament is to commence at 10.00am on Thursday (21). President Anura Kumara Dissanayake will deliver his government's Policy Statement at 11.30am.
